Amaravati, July 20 (Hydnow): Former SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar today called on Governor Biswabhushan. The meeting comes in the wake of the orders of the high court of the state.

He explained the governor of the verdict of high court that came in his favour. He urged the governor to once again appoint as the SEC of the state and implement the orders of high court. He also submitted a representation to the governor on the issue. Later speaking to media persons, he said that he had handed over a copy of the verdict of the High court about his reappointment as the SEC of the state. He said that the Governor had responded positively on his representation.

The apex court of the state had already made it clear that the governor of the state has powers to appoint the SEC of the state. Ramesh Kumar’s term was cut short by the state government following his decision to adjourn the local body elections in the state on March 15 of this year. The state government issued an ordinance on the issue to cut short the term of Kumar.
