Hyderabad, Aug.30 (Hydnow): Housing Minister V Prashant Reddy today said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is committed for providing spacious double bedroom facility to the poor free of cost in Telangana. He made a visit to Kollur Housing facility in 124 acres along with officials and inspected the works.
Reddy said that KCR determination, monitoring by TRS working president KT Rama Rao and efforts by housing secretary Chitra Ramachandran have proved handy. As much as 90 per cent of the works of the housing facility were over and will remaining will be completed as per schedule he said. Rs 1200 cr project to provide 15000 housing units are nearing completion and Rs 200 cr works will soon be completed the minister said. As an engineer I was surprised at the project which was completed in one and half year and KCR dream to provide housing facility to the poor is coming true he said. It was decided to build 2.80 lakh housing units including one lakh in GHMC purview and others in districts to enable poor live with self respect he said. (Hydnow)
