KTR Launches 55 Compactor Vehicles To Remove Building Waste

Hyderabad, Nov.12 (Hydnow): In order to provide better living conditions and healthy environment, GHMC is taking up various development activities in the city, Minister for MA&UD, K Taraka Rama Rao today said. He inaugurated a new Collection and Transfer station at Sanjeevaiah Park here.

Earlier, the Minister flagged off 55 MSW modern and smart vehicles of 35GVW capacity at HMDA grounds beside I-Max theater.

Speaking on the occasion the Minister Said that Telangana Government is committed to provide better facilities and livable conditions.

As part of this, set up of advanced garbage collection, transport and treatment, a comprehensive system end to end i.e. from source of collection to disposal in a scientific way.

This is the latest and advanced technology is being used in global cities and this the first of its kind in the country, being used in Hyderabad.

Minister recalled that as per the instructions of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, after distribution 44 lakhs of dust bins (dry and wet) and introduce of 2,000 Swachh autos the efficiency of garbage collection is increased to 6,000 tons from 3,500 tons and still more to be done. In order to improve garbage collection efficiency, 90 mini transfer stations is located at nearby 150 wards of GHMC and reducing from present 17 big transfer stations to 10 transfer stations.

With strategically located 90 mini transfer stations the distance of shifting of garbage by the Swachh auto to transfer station marginally reduces and collection of garbage efficiency improves. Within a month new 2700 modern fleet automated compact autos will be replace in place of present old autos , with this the garbage collected in autos is automatically unloaded into the static compactors and this will automatically loaded into sealed containers of MSW vehicles. Further there is no human interference during shifting of garbage from auto to heavy vehicles he added.

The minister said Telangana Government is providing all required amenities in making Hyderabad a global city as a part of this inauguration of C&D waste plant, Command and Control centre to control crimes, laying of roads etc.

Ministers Mohd.Mahaomood Ali, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, Danam Nagender, MLA, Khairthabad, Principal Secretary, Arvind Kumar Commissioner, GHMC Lokesh Kumar, Zonal Commissioners, Praveenya, Srinivas Reddy, Addl. Commrs., Santosh, Viswajeet Kampati and other senior officials from Ramky participated in the program. (Hydnow)
