We love our light snacks as much as we love our lavish meals. We want flavourful, rich and filling foods even when we crave for a small-bite snack. The easiest food available for quick snacking is chips. Just pick up a bag of chips, rip it open and start munching. Even though it fills our heart with all the saltiness and spiciness, it is always at the back of our mind that these store-bought chips may not be really good for our health. In today’s times, when homemade, natural and healthy foods have taken over our kitchens, why should we still compromise for our favourite chips?
Let’s make our own chips at home and also decorate them with some Indian spice mix to treat ourselves with a heart-warming snacking experience. Here is a recipe of spicy Indian chips made with uncooked flour tortillas, which are easily available at grocery stores near us. These tortillas, when fried, turn out to be crispy and crunchy chips. These are smattered with an eccentric spice mix that makes these chips truly delightful. It is a mixed bag of various spices like cumin seeds powder, garam masala, black salt, red chilli powder, mango and powder (amchoor). This amazing mix is rendered more flavourful with a dash of citric acid and some mint leaves.
