The Meteorological Department of Hyderabad has announced that it will rain in the state for the next three days. A yellow alert has been issued for 24 districts today and tomorrow.

The Meteorological Department has announced that a yellow alert will continue for 15 more districts of Ellundi. An alert has been issued to Asifabad, Manchiryala, Jagityala, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalapalli, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, and Mahabubabad districts.

Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district received the highest rainfall of 17 cm yesterday. Officials said that 17 cm of rainfall has been recorded in Hyderabad. Nirmal district received 13.3 cm, Jagitya 10.5 cm and Nalgonda 10.4 cm.

The low-lying areas of Hyderabad have come to a standstill due to the rains that have fallen in the last two days. Still, water has stopped in many colonies. Hyderabad roads were damaged due to continuous rains. There is a situation of not knowing where the holes are..where the manholes are.

The road leading from Hyder Guda to Bashir Bagh was completely waterlogged and the traffic came to a standstill. The main road was knee-deep in water. Begumpet, Panjagutta, Kothi, Liberty, Himayat Nagar, Retibowli, Chandrayanagutta, LB Nagar, and Malak Pet areas caused severe problems for motorists due to standing rainwater.

Torrential rain

South-westerly winds entered the state in June. Will leave in the next 15 days. It is pouring down torrential rain. The surface circulation formed by winds over the western and central Bay of Bengal has spread up to 3.1 km above sea level. On the other hand, the surface circulation is likely to form in the East Bay of Bengal on October 1, said the Meteorological Department.
