Hyderabad, July 21 (Hydnow): The Indian Meteorological Department-Hyderabad said that Telangana will experience heavy rains for the next three to four days due to the impact of the low pressure in the Bay of Bengal. Meteorological Department has announced that some districts of Telangana will receive very heavy rains. that’s why IMD has declared a red alert in some districts. It said that there will be thunder and lightning along with heavy rains.

It is raining in Telangana now. this is the situation for the last three days. Light to moderate rains continue. As a result, the rainfall deficit in Telangana has been resolved, says officials of the Meteorological department.

The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert saying that heavy to very heavy rains will fall in Kumrambheem Asifabad, Manhiryala, Bhupalapalli, and Mahabubnagar districts till Friday morning. From Friday to Saturday morning, Asifabad, Manchirayala, Bhupalapalli, Mulugu, and Kothagudem districts will experience heavy rains. Adilabad, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Mahabubabad, Hanamkonda, and Bhuvanagiri districts will experience heavy rains, Orange and Yellow alert has been issued. Till four or five days ago, there was a deficit of 20 percent of rainfall. On Wednesday, it has reduced to five percent, the Meteorological Department has revealed. It is expected that the deficit will be fully compensation with the possibility of rains continuing for another two days.


Due to the heavy rains for the past three days, the Ellampalli project is receiving heavy flood water. At present, the project has an inflow of 87,440 cusecs and an outflow of the same. The full water level of the Ellampalli project is 20 TMC, but it has already reached 19.73 TMC. Parvzati barrage inflow and outflow is 32,736 cusecs and Osman Sagar inflow is 500 cusecs. The water level reached 1784 .20 feet and Himayat Sagar inflow is 400 cusecs and the water level has reached 1765.25 feet.

Coal production has stopped in the Ramagundam region due to heavy rains for the last three to four days. Heavy flood water entered the open-cast coal mine. (Hydnow)
