Hyderabad, April 10 (Maxim News): With the spread of social media, everyone, regardless of age or gender, is becoming addicted. However, it is okay to use social media for good. However, some people are misusing it, causing harm. Recently, a girl committed suicide due to Instagram harassment in Kuntlur, a suburb of Hayat Nagar, Hyderabad, has caused a stir. A local tragedy occurred when a girl studying in class 10 in a private school in Kuntlur committed suicide after being harassed by a fellow student. The police, who registered a case on the incident, conducted an investigation and found that the harassment by a fellow student was the reason for this tragedy.
According to the police, the deceased girl and the accused boy were studying in the same school in class 10. Initially, the two were friends. Later, the student revealed his perversion. The accused started sexually harassing the girl on the social media platform Instagram. The girl and her family members became serious about the student’s behavior and had warned her several times in the past. However, the accused did not change his behavior and increased the harassment. The girl, who was upset by this, committed suicide by hanging herself yesterday (Thursday) when no one was at home. The girl was lying dead before the family members who had gone out returned home. The family members burst into tears after seeing the scene. The victim’s parents, who were deeply distressed by the humiliation inflicted on their girl, did not inform the police about this. They took the girl’s body and went to their own village (near Sagar).
However, the locals informed the Hayathnagar police about the incident. The alert police immediately stopped the body being taken for burial on the way (Sagar Road). They agreed and sent the body back to Osmania Hospital in Hyderabad for postmortem. After learning the full details, the police registered a case against the accused boy for harassment and abetment to suicide and arrested him. The girl’s mobile phone was seized and the details of her Instagram chats are being investigated. (Maxim News)
