A Child Complains About Water Supply, KTR Responds

Hyderabad: Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao has directed the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board to address the problems of Devinagar and neighbouring areas in RK Puram in Secunderabad due to insufficient water supply.

Gayathri, a child from Devinagar through a video clip appealed to the Minister to address their problems.

In the video shared on Twitter, she said: “Water is being supplied only once in five days to our areas and we are facing a lot of problems due to insufficient water supply.”

Responding immediately, the MAUD Minister directed the HMWSSB to depute the local General Manager and check the matter. He also instructed his office staff to follow up.

Following the instructions, HMWSSB officials have visited the area and are speaking to the residents.
Many residents complained that despite several appeals and complaints, HMWSSB did not address their issues.

“Every time a complaint is lodged, water board officials assure that the problem will be fixed but the problem persists. This has been the case since a few months” said a resident of Devinagar.
