To highlight the importance of women empowerment and promote gender equality, South Central Railway (SCR) operated a passenger train with an all-women crew between Secunderabad- Vikarabad on Saturday. The on-duty staff of the passenger train comprised loco pilot, assistant loco pilot, train guard, TTEs and RPF.
The passenger train was flagged off by women staff of Secunderabad Railway Station. Amit Bhatia, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division and Padmaja, Chief Passenger Traffic Manager, were present on the occasion. Saritha R Meshram, loco-pilot of the train, expressed happiness over the initiative of running all-women train and stated that SCR is always on the forefront in empowering women by providing equal opportunities.
Gajanan Mallya, General Manager, SCR, complimented the crew members of Secunderabad-Vikarabad passenger train. He stated that SCR is committed to provide equal opportunities for women and eradicate any kind of discrimination and gender bias.
The staff on board of passenger train include Mamatha Kumari, assistant loco pilot, Vineesha P, guard, Karisma, TTE, Manga, TTE, Pavana, TTE, Nasima Begum, SPF/RPF and M Nirosha, WC/RPF.
