Hyderabad, Dec.18 (Hydnow): CPI former national general secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy today criticised that BJP Government in the Centre is harassing the farmers in the country through new farm laws.

The Centre should repeal three new farm laws which will help the corporate sector and dump the farmers in the country, he demanded. The centre and the state should avoid playing with lives of the farmers, Sudhakar Reddy said. The Modi dispensation should refrain from cheating tactics through farm laws, he bemoaned.

The CPI leader sought to know, as to why Modi government tries to deny MSP to farm produce and not ready to talk to farmers who are on a war path for about three weeks, he deplored. He charged the TRS Government of adopting double standards on farm laws which are, against the farmers.

Participating in the left parties protest at Indira Park here against the farm laws, Sudhakar Reddy accused Modi regime of creating panic and confusion. The CPI leader sought to know as to why Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao met with leaders of farmers associations in Delhi.

Though KCR made Delhi tour and met with Modi and union ministers, he failed to meet with farmers on protest he deplored. The centre should hold talks with the farmers and end the stalemate and the crisis, he suggested. The centre will see intensified protests if farm laws are not rolled back he warned.

CPI state secretary Chada Venkat Reddy slammed Modi for three farm laws against the farmers interests. These laws should be withdrawn and protect farmers’ interests. Else the protests to be intensified he, warned (Hydnow)
