Census 2027 digital mode Telangana phase from May 11 details
Officials will use digital tools for data collection. These include the Census Management Monitoring System, Self Enumeration Portal, and HLO app. Enumerators will record household data using these systems.
Meanwhile, the self enumeration portal will open from April 16 to May 10. Citizens can submit their details online. Enumerators will later verify the data during visits.
Hollikeri said data security remains a priority. Once uploaded, data will be removed from devices and stored on central servers. Therefore, access will remain restricted.
The census follows the Census Act 1948, which mandates confidentiality. Officials stressed that data protection remains a core principle.
During the first phase, officials will collect details of the household head, including caste category. In the second phase, they will gather caste data of all members.
The Centre has fixed 33 questions for the first phase. These questions will remain uniform across the country.
Officials said every area will be covered through detailed planning. Moreover, monitoring systems will track progress. A helpline will also be announced for public support.
