Hyderabad, Nov.1 (Hydnow): Finance Minister, T Harish Rao today stated that the centre has to procure paddy from state which produced huge quantities.
He launched a purchase center at Siddipet district here with Officials and farmers. Speaking on the occasion the finance minister said that the centre has to take immediate action to get the farm produce.
The government supported farming for a golden harvest in the state through irrigation projects.
The centre has to change its view and procure paddy from the state. The centre should take necessary steps enabling the officials procure our farm products, he said.
He said that paddy cultivated in about 3 lakh 30 acres paddy and we expect 6 lakh metric tons acre its level production.
In Siddipet district we achieved this record, he claimed. The Minister said that all over the state paddy production multiplied manifold. He said that credit goes to the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for this huge production.
Harish Rao said that Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project was completed which irrigated crops like never before. This is due to KCR vision and commitment to farming gives a big change in farming he said. (Hydnow)
