Congress Empowers 1,000 Muslim Aspirants to Pursue Medicine Annually
Nizamabad – November 12: Speaking passionately at a gathering in Nizamabad, Congress candidate for the Nizamabad Urban Assembly Constituency and former Minister Muhammad Ali Shabbir lauded the Congress government for its role in enabling 1000 Muslim boys and girls to pursue medical education in Telangana each year, courtesy of the 4% Muslim reservation.
Expressing concern over the current administration’s policies, Shabbir highlighted the jeopardy faced by the Muslim reservation, now reduced to 3%, due to the unclear directives of the government. He emphasized that the Congress had initially provided a 4% reservation, and now, with the promise of 12% reservation, the Muslim community is being deceived for a decade.
Shabbir urged the Muslim community to exercise their right to vote effectively, emphasizing that voting is a powerful tool in their hands. He stressed the importance of unity among Muslim voters, urging them to cast their votes collectively to make a significant impact.
The Union Home Minister has alerted the states of the country in the wake of the Indo-Pak War. The Telangana government and police, which were immediately alerted, took preemptive measures. Security has been tightened in Hyderabad.
Thirty-two airports across northern and western parts of the country, including Srinagar and Amritsar, have been closed for civilian flight operations till May 15, according to the civil aviation regulator.
In view of the ongoing high alert across India and intensified security arrangements in Hyderabad and Secunderabad, the city police have issued a ban on bursting firecrackers or fireworks in public spaces, particularly near military cantonment areas.
India responded strongly to Pakistan’s repeated drone and missile attacks and hit at least eight military targets inside Pakistan on Friday night with precision, thereby causing significant damage, the Centre told the media, as part of a special briefing on ‘Operation Sindoor’.
