Governor Visited Flood-Affected Areas In Warangal

Warangal/Hyderabad, Aug 2 (Hydnow):  Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan visited the flood-affected Warangal district today.  She inspected the flooded areas in Jawaharnagar and inquired with the residents of the flooded areas about the problems of the locals there.  

Later, the Governor said, the people of flood affected are facing severe difficulties.  She said that the floods in Warangal have reached a severe level.  Jawahar Nagar bridge has completely collapsed.  She urged the government to respond immediately and start relief measures.  Many areas have been flooded.  Actions should be taken on a permanent basis.  she said that the victims should be provided with drinking water, essential items, and medical kits.  The government praised the services of the Red Cross society as a Central team is coming and assessing the damage.  (Hydnow)
