Heavy Rain Forecast For Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Sept 4 (Hydnow): The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD-Hyderabad) has forecast heavy rain for Hyderabad city.

GHMC has set up toll-free numbers for the city residents 040-21111111, 9000113667 have been set up to solve the problems of the city dwellers. Additional Commissioner Prakash Reddy has issued instructions to the disaster teams to be alert.

Heavy rain lashed the city of Hyderabad from Sunday morning. After midnight it started with drizzle. It stung for an hour and a half in the morning. As a result, the low-lying areas were flooded. Motorists who came out in the morning faced difficulties due to heavy flooding on the main roads in Ameerpet, Maithrivanam, Mayor Marg, and many other areas.

It also rained heavily in Jubilee Hills, Filmnagar, Banjara Hills, Ameerpet, S.R. Nagar, Panjagutta, Khairatabad, Erragadda, Musapet and Sanatnagar, Panjagutta, Khairatabad, Erragadda, Musapet and Sanatnagar. Flood water entered the cellars of many buildings and many houses in Balajinagar Colony of Narsingi Municipality, Pandernwagu under Manikonda Municipality was flowing heavily and the traffic was stopped.
