Hyderabad Man Arrested For Cheating Woman Of Rs. 1 Crore Using 'Supernatural Powers' Claim

Hyderabad, April 10 (Maxim News): In a case of fraud, a man who allegedly cheated a married woman of nearly Rs 1 crore by reportedly claiming to possess supernatural powers, has been arrested by Jubilee Hills Police after remaining absconding for four years.

The accused, identified as Nithin, reportedly befriended the victim through social media and gained her trust by promising to solve her personal issues using ‘supernatural abilities.’ Over a period of three years, he allegedly manipulated and convinced her to hand over large sums of money.

Police said the suspect specifically targeted wealthy women via platforms like Facebook. After collecting nearly Rs 1 crore from the victim, he went absconding.

Following a complaint, the Jubilee Hills police booked a case and tracked him down using digital evidence from social media and arrested him.

Officials suspect that more victims may be cheated in a similar manner. (Maxim News)
