Illegal Transport Of Ration Rice In Suryapet Seized
Suryapet/Hyderabad, Feb 15 (Hydnow): The ration rice being transported illegally was caught by the police in Suryapet.
District Superintendent of Police Rahul Hegde disclosed the details to the media. 30 tonnes of rice worth Rs. 12 lakhs being transported from Khammam to Hyderabad was checked by the police at Jangaon crossroad in Suryapet.
Four accused have been arrested. another is said to be absconding. A lorry and three Ashok Leyland vehicles were seized from the accused and taken to remand.
Anyone buying or selling rice has been warned that strict action will be taken. Meanwhile, the Sp congratulated the police personnel who cleverly caught the accused. (Hydnow)
