Hyderabad, April 12: Iran blames US demands for failure of talks after recent negotiations ended without agreement. Officials said US conditions caused the deadlock.

Iran criticised remarks by US Vice President JD Vance on the outcome. Moreover, it said the US placed unrealistic demands during discussions.

Iranian media stated that talks lasted for 21 hours. However, it said its delegation worked to protect national interests and reach consensus.

Iran blames US demands for failure of talks and rejects key proposals. Therefore, officials said those demands could not be achieved even through war.

The Iranian Embassy in Ghana said the US presented unacceptable conditions. It also claimed these proposals were strongly rejected during the talks.

Meanwhile, officials said progress was made on several issues. However, differences on two key points prevented a final agreement.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei confirmed partial consensus. Yet, he did not disclose the disputed issues.

Iran also stated that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed. As a result, tensions continue despite extended negotiations.
