Hyderabad, Jan 14 (Hydnow):  On the occasion of the Sankranthi festival, BJP State President and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy and BRS MLA and former minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav participated in the ‘Kite Festival’ organized at People’s Plaza, Necklace Road, Hyderabad

Kishan Reddy said that Sankranti is a festival celebrated by farmers on the occasion of the return of the hard-earned harvest.  Sankranti is celebrated all over the world today. He flew a kite in the ‘Kite Festival’.

Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that once there was a buzz of butterflies 4 months before the festival, but now due to the influence of Western culture, there is a lack of interest.  He said that there is a need for parents to inform their children about our traditions. (Hydnow)
