Koppula Eashwar Praises Services Of Covid Warriors

Welfare Minister Koppula Eashwar appreciated service done by police, medical and sanitation workers during time of pandemic. Police, health and sanitation workers were felicitated by Zilla Parishad Chairman Putta Madhukar on behalf of Putta Lingamma Charitable trust in Manthani on Saturday. On the occasion, 300 people donated blood.

Participating in the programme, Eashwar said that instead of confining to some areas, coronavirus was affecting the entire world. While people are unable to attend the funerals of their relatives and well-wishers, police, medical and sanitation workers have been discharging their duties by putting their lives at risk.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was the first person who imposed lockdown in the State to check the spread of virus. Police played a vital role in implementation of lockdown. ASHA works, ANMs, and other medical staff carried out health checkup of the people in quarantines zones and other areas by visiting each and every house. He emphasised the need to pay attention on the people those who were in home quarantine.

Stating that people have to lead life along with COVID-19 for some time in the future, he advised the people to take precautionary measures. Compared to other States, Telangana was in a better position in controlling the spread of virus. While the death percentage was low, recovery percentage is high.
