Last Full Budget Of PM Modi To Commence From Jan 31

Delhi/Hyderabad, Jan 13 (Hydnow): The schedule for the Budget Session of Parliament for the year 2023-24 has been finalized. The Joint Session of Parliament will be addressed by the President Draupadi Murmu in the Central Hall of Parliament on January 31 and will end on April 6. This was informed by the Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Prahlad Joshi through Twitter.

In view of the Parliament elections likely to be held in the year 2024, this budget session of parliament will be the last full budget for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Finance Minister Nirmala Seetharaman will present the budget in Parliament on February 1. The Parliament will function for 27 days for a total of 66 days. A break will be given for a few days in between the 66-day budget session. the break will be given from February 14 to March 12. During this interval, the Parliamentary Standing Committees examine the demands of the Ministers and prepare reports based on them.

Draupadi Murmu, who took oath as the President in August last year, will address the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha for the first time in the budget meetings. The budget session will begin after the motion of thanks to the President. Prime Minister Modi will address this occasion.

Nirmala Sitharaman will give a reply on the budget. The budget will be formulated after a full discussion with NITI Aayog. A day before the Budget i.e. the Economic Survey will be introduced in the Parliament. Chief Economic Advisor Dr. V.anantha Nageswaran will prepare the economic survey.

The Center has already started the preparations for the budget meetings. Niti Aayog will hold a special meeting with financial experts under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. Nirmala Sitharaman will also participate in this meeting. As it is the last budget presented by the Modi government before the 2024 elections, the BJP government has focused more on this budget.
