Modi Launched Project of Rs 13,500 Crore in The State

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday afternoon laid the foundation stone for projects worth Rs 13,500 crore, including in the road and rail sectors, in poll-bound Telangana, and dedicated them to the nation. He also announced the establishment of a central tribal university in Mulugu at a cost of Rs 500 crore.

PM Modi flagged off the first train service on the new railway line between Jaklair and Krishna and launched a train service between Kacheguda and Raichur, besides inaugurating the four-lane Suryapet-Khammam highway. He also dedicated to the nation the Rs 2,166 crore Hassan-Charlapally LPG pipeline built by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) which will enable an additional 37 lakh consumers to obtain LPG gas.

After arriving in Hyderabad, PM Modi headed to Palamuru in the state’s Mahbubnagar district to address a public meeting where he received a rousing reception from a huge gathering.

Addressing the crowd, he said, “We have achieved 33 percent reservation law for women in legislatures. Many national highways have been constructed in Telangana. With the construction of highways, Telangana’s connectivity with all states has increased. With the projects now undertaken, connectivity will increase between Maharashtra, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh.”

“One of the five textile parks to be built in the country has been allotted to Telangana. The textile park to be built at Hanamkonda will increase employment opportunities for the people of Warangal and Khammam,” he added.

PM Modi said the new tribal university would be named after the tribal deities Sammakka-Sarakka. He also announced the establishment of the National Turmeric Board for the benefit of turmeric farmers in Nizamabad district. “We are committed to the welfare of the turmeric farmers in the state,” he said, adding that the Hyderabad Central University would be elevated as an Institute of Eminence.

Ahead of the visit, the prime minister’s message posted on X said the people of Telangana were weary of the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi’s “lackluster governance” and that they shared an “equal distrust towards the Congress”.
