Nalgonda Govt Hospital Superintendent Caught Red-Handed While Taking Bribe
Nalgonda/Hyderabad, Feb 16 (Hydnow): Nalgonda government Hospital Superintendent Lachunayak has been caught red-handed for taking bribes by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials.
ACB officials caught him red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs. 3 lakhs. This amount was demanded from a merchant named Venkanna for the tender of medicines. ACB officials raided his residence on Friday while he was taking bribes from Venkanna.
Venkanna said that they have been supplying medicines to the government hospital for two years. It has been revealed that the superintendent has been taking a 10 percent commission for some years and recently demanded a higher percentage.
A month ago, Rs one lakh was given as a bribe. Four days ago Rs. 3 lakhs were demanded. He said that he approached the ACB after demanding 3 lakhs. (Hydnow)
