Rs. 11,500 Crore For Medical And Health Sector in Telangana

Hyderabad, Feb 10 (Hydnow): The Congress government had relaunched a very popular and innovative scheme – Rajiv Arogyasri to provide free medical care upto Rs. 5 lakhs to eligible families, the present Revanth Reddy government has doubled the threshold for medical treatment to Rs. 10 lakhs.

This will provide succour to many needy families in view of the increased rates of medical treatment.

Priority will be given to complete the super speciality and other hospitals, medical and nursing colleges, which are in various stages of construction, MIMS, which is a prestigious medical institute is in need of expansion and we will provide the necessary assistance to further improve and extend the services of the institute.

We will construct a new building for the historical Osmania General Hospital, Recruitments in medical and health departments are very important to ensure uninterrupted services in the hospitals. Proper attention was not given by the earlier regime to complete the recruitments on time.

On the contrary, we have fast tracked the recruitment and have given appointment letters to 6,956 Nursing officers.

We will strengthen the government hospitals and release funds for their administration. We will provide the required funds and staff. We commit ourselves to continue the support for the medical and health sector. (Hydnow)
