Jagtia/Hyderabad, April 9 (Maxim News)l: Tension prevailed at the residence of former minister T. Jeevan Reddy in Jagtial after a scuffle broke out during a political visit. Several journalists were injured in the incident and some electronic media cameras were reportedly damaged.
K. T. Rama Rao (KTR), working president of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), visited Jeevan Reddy’s house to invite him to join the party. Former ministers Gangula Kamalakar and Koppula Eshwar also accompanied him.
As party workers gathered in large numbers, a sudden rush led to heavy pushing and jostling. During the chaos, some activists fell onto media personnel who were covering the visit.
Several journalists suffered minor injuries in the incident. Cameras belonging to some electronic media organisations were also damaged in the commotion.
Protesting the incident, media representatives expressed anger and boycotted the political programme. (Maxim News)
