Hyderabad, Sep[t 6 (Hydnow): The Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Committee has decided to celebrate the Vinayaka Chavithi festival on September 18 and the immersion on September 28. This was officially announced today,

Due to two days of Tidhi this year, there were doubts whether the festival should be celebrated on September 18 or 19.  In this order, the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi met and announced the date of the festival and the immersion date.

The Panchangam of Sringeri Kanchi prefects has also indicated that Vinayaka Chavithi should be celebrated on September 18.  Similarly, it has been revealed that the official announcement will be made after taking the opinions of many scholars.  The government has also suggested declaring the Vinayaka Chavithi holiday on September 18 and the Nimajjanam holiday on September 28.  (Hydnow)
