Not A Lakh, We Will Waive Off Rs. 2 Lakh Loans Of Farmers: Revanth
Hyderabad, Jan.30 (Hydnow): TPCC President A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday directed the party leaders and cadre to intensify the digital membership so as to achieve the set targets.
Revanth Reddy held a review meeting at Gandhi Bhavan today to check the status of Congress party’s digital membership drive in each of 17 Parliamentary constituencies. He expressed satisfaction over the overwhelming response to the membership drive and said that the target of 30 lakh members would be achieved easily. He said the membership would play a key role in strengthening the organisation at the grass root level. Further, he said the membership drive would also ensure the individual growth of leadership at local level.
He directed the Coordinators, Incharges and other leaders to work as a strong team to achieve the target of minimum 100 members in each polling booth. While the response to membership drive in a majority of 119 Assembly constituencies has been overwhelming, it was satisfactory in remaining constituencies. He asked the party cadre to identify the polling booths and mandals where the membership drive is slow and take corrective measures.
The TPCC Chief said that the AICC was quite serious about the digital membership and those showing good performance would have a bright future in the party.
Earlier in the day, the TPCC President, AICC Secretary N.S. Bose Raju and other senior leaders paid rich tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his 74th death anniversary. They paid floral tributes to the portrait and statue of Mahatma Gandhi at party headquarters Gandhi Bhavan. They also observed two-minute silence as a mark of respect to the Father of the Nation.
