Two Days Holiday Declared For Schools in Telangana
Hyderabad: Following the red alert issued by the India Meteorological Department for several districts in the State, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has directed Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy to declare Wednesday and Thursday as holidays for schools across the State.
The Chief Minister, who reviewed the situation in the wake of the incessant rains, asked the Minister to immediately issue orders in this regard.
In view of incessant heavy rains in the state, Honourable Chief Minister Sri K Chandrashekhar Rao instructed state Education minister Smt Sabita Indra Reddy to declare holidays for two days tomorrow and day after tomorrow (Wednesday and Thursday) for all educational institutions+
The state is presently under red alert as three different weather systems have engulfed the state leading to large amounts of rainfall. The state capital, Hyderabad also has seen a moderate amount of rain for the last two days of continuous rains.
