Two Gates Of Osman Sagar Lifted: Heavy Flood In Musi

Hyderabad, July 26 (Hydnow):  The Telangana state has been receiving heavy rains for the past week along with Hyderabad.  Due to heavy rains, the city’s twin reservoirs are getting flooded with heavy flood water.  In this order, the authorities lifted the gates of Osman Sagar.  

Officials raised two gates and released the water,  Osman Sagar raises two gates by one foot and releases 208 cusecs of water downstream.

As the gates of the reservoir were raised and the water was released downstream, GHMC MD Danakishore advised the concerned water board officials to be alert.  The officials have already raised four gates of Himayat Sagar.

Osman Sagar Reservoir is likely to receive heavy flood water.  Before this order, the two gates of the reservoir were carefully raised by the water board officials at 1 o’clock today.  due to the lifting of the gates of Osman Sagar, heavy flood water is coming into Musi.  (Hydnow)
