Siddipet/Hyderabad, July 14 (Hydnow): In Thoguta Mandal of Sddipet district, the farmers who lost their lands due to the construction of the additional TMC canal of Mallanna Sagar are protesting.
70 farmers from Ghanpuram have been sitting in Tehsildar’s office since 10 am for land compensation cheques. Tahsildar refused to distribute the cheques, the residents informed the BJP MLA Raghunandan Rao of Dubbaka about this matter. He immediately reached there and spoke to the Tahsildar.
Tahsildar said that cheques will be distributed in the district Collector’s office. the MLA questioned why the residents had to go to the collector’s office to collect the compensation checks when they came to the Tahsildar’s office. It is not reasonable to call the residents to the Collector’s office for photographs. The MLA told the Tahsildar that he would not leave from there till he start giving cheques. (Hydnow)
