New Delhi, Oct.6 (Hydnow): Telangana Government got permission from Supreme Court to withdraw its previous petition against the new Tribunal to address river water issues.
According to information the Supreme Court has offered its nod to Telangana Government to withdraw that petition.
The government sought for a new tribunal to address Krishna water issues.
The apex court allowed the state government to withdraw the same.
The government took a call in this regard as the Centre said that it would consider constituting a new tribunal if the state withdrew its old petition.
The three judge bench of the court allowed the Telangana government to do so and did not give any other direction.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradeshand Karnataka governments opposed Telangana for withdrawing the old petition.
When they urged to argue, the Supreme Court allowed the two states to file their arguments through petitions. (Hydnow)
