Man Arrested For Cultivating Ganja in Farm in Asifabad

Srisailam/Hyderabad, Feb 6 (Hydnow) Consumption and sale of alcohol, cigarettes, and other intoxicants are prohibited in Srisailam maha Punya Kshetra.

These rules have been in place for years. In this order, the police caught a woman who was selling liquor from Telangana state in a house near the Srisailam check post.

It was found that they had been selling liquor for years. The police clarified that the liquor was bought from the Telangana check post, brought to Srisailam, and sold.

166 quarter bottles were seized from the woman. Police have been conducting extensive checks in Srisailam Mahakshetra for a few days. Remarkably, Telangana liquor was seized in this order. Srisailam CI Prasada Rao revealed that the woman was arrested and remanded.

It has been clarified that alcohol consumption and meat are also prohibited in Maha Punya Kshetra. He warned that anyone who sells against the rules will face severe punishment. The police called to protect the sanctity of the temple. (Hydnow)
