Elderly Woman Died While Waiting To A Cast Vote
Hyderabad: Depressed allegedly after her son failed to clear the ICAI CA Foundation Exam, a woman died by suicide at her house in Jeedimetla on Wednesday.
According to the police, the woman Pushpa Jyothi (41), a housewife stayed at Gajula Ramaram in Jeedimetla along with her family. Her son had appeared for the ICAI CA foundation exam and failed to clear it.
“The family members told us that after the results were announced Jyothi slipped into depression and committed suicide by hanging herself in her bedroom,” said Jeedimetla police.
The Union Home Minister has alerted the states of the country in the wake of the Indo-Pak War. The Telangana government and police, which were immediately alerted, took preemptive measures. Security has been tightened in Hyderabad.
Thirty-two airports across northern and western parts of the country, including Srinagar and Amritsar, have been closed for civilian flight operations till May 15, according to the civil aviation regulator.
