Y S Jagan 25-member cabinet formed, portfolios allotted

Vijayawada, April 11: Y S Jagan The 25-member new cabinet of Andhra Pradesh government was sworn in the city today. Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan administered the oath of office to the newly inducted ministers of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s cabinet. The new ministers have also been allotted portfolios soon after their swearing in ceremony .

Although it is touted that RK Roja will be made Home Minister, YS Jagan surprised everybody and picked Taneti Vanitha for the post. Buggana Rajendranath Reddy retained his old Finance portfolio. Botsa Satyanarayana was entrusted with Education and Dharmana Prasada Rao was made the Revenue & Stamps Minister of the State. Peddi Reddy Ramachandra reddy got Minerals and Forest department, Vidadala Rajani got Health portfolio. Amjad Basha got Minority Welfare and RK Roja got Tourism & Sports. Ambati Rambabu was made the Irrigation Minister.

Peedika Rajanna was allotted Tribal Welfare while Seediri Appala Raju was made Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Minister. Minister Adimulapu Suresh got Municipal Administration & Urban development, Narayanaswami got Excise, Venugopal got BC Welfare, Usha Sri Charan got Women & Child Welfare, Meruga Nagarjuna got Social Welfare department while D Raja got Roads & Buildings department.

Nageswara Rao and Gummaluru Jayaram got Civil Supplies & Labour departments respectively. Kakani Govardhan and Jogi Ramesh got Agriculture and Housing respectively, while P. Viswaroop got Transport, K. Satyanarayana got Endowments. Mutyala Amarnath got Panchayat Raj while G. Amarnath got IT & Industries department.
