Almas Khan, who comes from a humble background, rubbishes the misconception that money is required to pursue full-time politics. “I belong to a middle-class family and my father used to work as an Industrial Electrician with a company in Saudi Arabia. Being an active political activist for the last 12 years, I realised that one does not need any money to grow in politics. We just need to have dedication and strong commitment.

However, this is possible only in a people-centric party like Congress. If you work hard, there is a guarantee that your services will be recognised,” he said.
