Amarnath Yatra 2026 To Begin From July 3

Hyderabad, April 12: Amarnath Yatra 2026 will begin from July 3 and conclude on August 28, officials announced on Sunday. The pilgrimage will last 57 days this year.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha confirmed the dates after a board meeting. Moreover, he said registrations will open from April 15. Pilgrims must complete registration before undertaking the yatra.

Amarnath Yatra 2026 registration will be mandatory for all pilgrims. Therefore, authorities have fixed the age limit between 13 and 70 years.

Pilgrims can register through 556 designated bank branches across the country. Additionally, online registration will be available on the official shrine board website.

Yes Bank, ICICI Bank, Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India, and Axis Bank will facilitate registrations. Meanwhile, the first puja will be held on June 19 on Jyeshtha Purnima.

The yatra will follow two routes in Jammu and Kashmir. The traditional Nunwan Pahalgam route spans 48 km in Anantnag district. In contrast, the shorter Baltal route covers 14 km in Ganderbal district.
