Hyderabad, April 11: Arrive Alive road safety campaign launched in Telangana to curb rising accidents, DGP Shivadhar Reddy announced. The programme will run from April 13 to 18 across the state.
The campaign is part of the Public Governance Progress Plan. It will be conducted in coordination with multiple government departments. Therefore, officials aim to improve road safety awareness at all levels.
DGP Reddy said India reports a high number of road accidents. He noted that most fatalities involve two wheeler riders and pedestrians. Hence, the campaign will focus on public awareness and safety practices.
He directed officials to promote the programme at the village level. Committees will be formed with local representatives and volunteers. Moreover, departments will work together to ensure effective implementation.
