Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, was arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau officials in a drug-related case on October 3. He was being questioned by the NCB after the drug bust that took place in Mumbai aboard a cruise ship. Soon after Aryan Khan’s arrest, his memo wherein he acknowledged his arrest was leaked.
In the leaked memo signed by Aryan Khan, the star kid acknowledged the grounds of his arrest. He signed it: “I understood grounds of my arrest and informed the same to my family members on mobile no. …” The memo explained that the star kid was arrested under provisions of Section 42 of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances. It added that he was arrested for his involvement in “consumption, sale and purchase of contraband”.
Aryan Khan will be presented to the court later today where he will be applying for bail. His lawyer Satish Maneshinde argued that it was a “bailable offense”. The lawyer continued: “No incriminating material has been recovered from Aryan Khan. There is no possession or evidence of consumption.”

Reports state that a rave party was taking place in the late hours of October 2 on a cruise ship that was raided at the Mumbai Coast. The cruise was on its way on a “musical voyage” for three days. Several names from Bollywood – including Aryan Khan – were also aboard the cruise, along with people from the fashion and business industry. The NCB received an anonymous tip of banned drugs being used on the cruise. NCB officials, led by zonal director Sameer Wankhede, boarded the ship disguised as passengers to conduct the raid.

Following the raid, Aryan Khan and eight others were detained. The star kid’s phone was seized. Reports claimed that the chats recovered indicated that he had been “regularly ordering and consuming” drugs. He was also taken for a medical test, however, reports of the same have not been published or shared with the public yet. He was later arrested under sections 8C, 20B, 27 and 35 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Along with Aryan Khan, Arbaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha were arrested as well. Later in the day, on October 3, Nupur Satija, Ishmeet Singh Chadha, Mohak Jaiswal, Gomit Chopra, and Vikrant Chhokar were also arrested.

On Monday, October 4, Aryan Khan was seen leaving for medical examination at JJ Hospital along with two other girls who were arrested on Sunday. He was wearing a black mask, a yellow t-shirt, and track pants. He was surrounded by officials.
About the Aryan Khan case
After the arrests were made on Sunday, NCB released an official statement that read, “In a further development in Cr 94/21, the three accused namely Aryan Khan, Arbaz Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha were arrested today on 03-10-2021 u/s 8 (c) r/w section 20 (b), 27, 28 & 29 of NDPS Act and were produced before the honorable holiday court today after their medical.”
The statement further read, “The honorable court granted 1 day NCB custody of the three accused. They will be produced again before the honorable court tomorrow for their judicial custody. Further, remaining 5 accused namely Nupur Satija, Ishmeet Singh Chadha, Mohak jaiswal, Gomit Chopra and Vikrant Chhokar were arrested later today and will be produced before the honorable ACMM Court tomorrow after their medical.”

Aryan Khan, and others were present before Killa court on October 3rd evening. The young star kid was represented by senior advocate Satish Manshinde. As per reports, NCB Counsel agreed the offences are available and sought for a remand until October 5. The court ordered Aryan Khan, Arbaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha one-day custody.
