Hyderabad, Sept. 30 (Hydnow): State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar today lashed out at the State government for its decision to crack its whip against Rural Medical Practitioners (RMP) and Private Medical Practitioners (PMPs) in the State.
Terming the decision of the State government as cruel, Bandi alleged that the government was carrying out a witch-hunting campaign against the RMPs and the PMPs. He asked the State government as to what happened to its promise of providing training to them and allowing them to carry out private practice. He wondered who would protect the lives of the people if there are no RMPs and PMPs. He alleged that the State government was conspiring to remove the RMP system from the State as they are providing extensive services to the people of the State.
The BJP leader alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has forgotten about his promise made to the RMPs and PMPs that his government would provide special training to them and allow them to do private practice. He also demanded that the Chief Minister intervene and withdraw his government’s
decision to abolish the RMP and PMP systems. He alleged that the primary healthcare services had collapsed completely in the State and added that there was no adequate number of doctors and medicines in the primary health centers in the State.
He also alleged that the State government had stopped 104 Emergency services and added that the 108 Emergency services were suffering from a lack of diesel problems.
Commenting on the botched family planning surgeries at Ibrahimpatnam Area hospital, Sanjay, in a statement, demanded that Chief Minister drop Health Minister T. Harish Rao from the cabinet after making him responsible for the tragic incident that claimed the lives of eight nursing mothers. (Hydnow)
