Hyderabad, Feb.5 (Hydnow): BJP Former MP Chandupatla Janga Reddy passed away here today while undergoing treatment at a hospital. He breathed his last in the early hours of Saturday.
Janga Reddy was born in Parakal of undivided Warangal district. He served the Warangal district as an MLA and an MP. He was elected as an MP from Hanmakonda in 1984 defeating former PM PV Narasimha Rao. He was one of the two MPs, who won from the BJP in that year.
The body of Janga Reddy was taken to the State party headquarters for allowing the party workers and leaders to pay their last respects.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Union minister G. Kishan Reddy, State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar and others expressed their grief on the demise of the veteran leader. (Hydnow)
