Hyderabad, Sept 22 (Hydnow): The Telangana government has extended the application deadline till September 25 for the Chief Minister’s Overseason Scholarship Scheme for minority students to study abroad.  The application window is now open till September 25 at 5 p.m.

Minority Welfare Department Principal Secretary and Commissioner Syed Omar Jalil has issued orders to this effect.

so far, over 600 online applications have been received from minority students across the state for overseas scholarships.  Candidates pursuing engineering or post-graduation programs for this scholarship should submit proof of securing at least 60 percent marks in the respective courses.  Additionally, the applicant’s guardian’s annual income should not exceed Rs. 5 lakh.


eligible students can get admission to universities in countries like the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Singapore, France, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, and South Korea.  Applications can be submitted online at the website. https://telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in/ Applicants should submit three sets of Xerox copies of their certificates at the concerned District Minority Welfare Office by September 30 at 5 p.m.  (Hydnow)
