Delhi man throws 2-year-old son off building

A 30-year-old man threw his two-year-old child from the first floor and then jumped from the third floor of a building in Delhi Kalkaji after a tiff with his wife on Friday. Both have been admitted to a hospital and are in critical condition.

According to the Delhi Police, “The man, identified as Man Singh, jumped down from the terrace of his wife’s grandmother’s house late Friday after throwing his child from the first floor of the building. While the child was admitted to Holy Family Hospital, Man Singh was immediately shifted to AIIMS Trauma Centre.”

“Singh’s wife Pooja alleged that she does not have a good relationship with her husband and was living with her grandmother with her two kids for the past few days. Her husband visited her on Friday at around 6-7 pm and quarreled with her under the influence of liquor. Suddenly, he took his son to the first floor and threw him down. He also jumped down thereafter,” police further added.

His(accused) wife Pooja claims that she had an estranged relationship with him and used to stay at her grandmother’s home with the kids & on the day of the incident, he came to her place, he was drunk & fought with her: Delhi Police

A case has been registered and an investigation is being taken up.
