Hyderabad, May 6 (Hydnow): BJP MP Eatala Rajender said that Telangana has never been a poor state, but a region where leaders have been left behind. He said that the region had railway, electricity and telephone facilities even before Independence.
He said that Telangana should not be shown as a bankrupt state to hold one person and one party guilty. Eatala responded to this in the wake of CM Revanth Reddy’s comments at an event on Monday.
He spoke at a media conference held at the BJP state office in Nampally. “It is not correct for CM Revanth to say that Telangana is a bankrupt state. It is at the top in terms of grain yield, GSDP growth rate and the highest budget level.
The CM is destroying the self-respect of the people of Telangana. I have said in the past that even though it is a new state, it is making great progress without hesitation. In 2014 itself. Telangana’s own tax revenue was Rs. 29 thousand crores.
The revenue used to increase from Rs. 5 thousand crores to Rs. 10 thousand crores every year. In 2023-24, the state received a revenue of Rs. 1.19 lakh crores. Non Tax revenue was also Rs. 6 thousand crores in 2014 itself. It is Rs. 20 thousand crores in 2023-24. the tax revenue distributed by the Center is also increasing gradually, explained Etala Rajender. (Hydnow)
