Delhi/Hyderabad, Oct 10 (Hydnow): A Delhi Court on Tuesday extended the custody of AAP MP Sanjay Singh, who was arrested in a money laundering case related to the Delhi Liquor Scam till the 13th of this month.

Sanjay Singh was arrested by the ED on October 4 in the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22 case. The court ordered Sanjay Singh not to speak to the media while attending the court, as this may cause security problems.

The court allowed him to speak to his family members and lawyer for two minutes before announcing the order of extension of custody. Singh commented in front of the media that honest people are with him and corrupt people are with Modi.

Meanwhile, the ED while presenting their argument before the court said that a large amount of cash transactions have taken place in this case. Sanjay Singh sought an extension of remand. But Sanjay Singh’s lawyer Rebecca John refuted this claim.

As there is nothing in the remand paper, what is the need for remand? He denied that there were CCTV cameras in Sanjay Singh’s house and whether they (ED) tried to get the footage. He said that all this is aimed at damaging the MP’s reputation. (Hydnow)
