The precautionary measure was undertaken by authorities in response to the potential threat, as reported by the media.

The Eiffel Tower, a symbol of France’s cultural heritage and a magnet for tourists globally had to temporarily shut its doors following the alert. Operated by SETE, the site’s management body, the incident prompted the immediate deployment of bomb disposal experts and law enforcement personnel.

While such occurrences are infrequent, SETE emphasized that it’s a standard protocol to ensure safety when faced with a potential threat.
