Hyderabad, Sept 21 (Hydnow): Some mobile users across the country received an ’emergency Alert’ message on Thursday afternoon.  there is a flash message with the meaning of ‘serious situation’.  they all got confused because they didn’t know where it came from and why.  

However, there is no need to panic.  It was sent by the Central government.  there is nothing to be afraid of.  This message is coming as part of the testing of the emergency alert system.  People from many areas have already received such messages.  Recently, this message has come once again.

the Center has created this emergency alert system in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Agency to alert people during disasters like earthquakes, tsunamis, and flash floods.  In this order, when it was tested recently, around 11.41 am today, some smartphone users in Telugu states and across the country received this flash message with a loud sound.  The alert was sent in English, Hindi, and regional languages, along with the message, the message is heard in audio form.  This made the users a little worried.

In this message titled ‘Emergency alert Severe’ ignore this.  This message was sent to test the Pan-India emergency.  alert system developed by the National Disaster Management Agency.  This system is very useful to warn people in dire situations.  It will further improve public safety.

After clicking the OK option under this message, another message appears.  In it, “you have received a wireless emergency message.  Selection your option to receive a similar emergency message in the future”.  An option called Wireless Emergency Alerts has also been added to our phone settings.  some users are posting this flash message on their phones.  

the Department of Telecommunication had earlier revealed that these tests are being conducted to assess the emergency transmission capabilities of mobile operators and cell broadcasting systems.  It is said that these tests are being conducted step by step in many parts of the country. previously some users got this message on July 20 and August 17th as well.  (Hydnow)
