Iqbal Ansari, who acted as a petitioner in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case and Imam Umar Ahmad Ilyasi also received invitations.  Ilyasi said that he went to Ayodhya after thinking for two days after receiving the invitation.

He said, those who love me and the country, support me, and those who hate me for attending the ceremony will probably go to Pakistan.  Ilyasi alleged that there was a conspiracy against him and that some people were trying to create an atmosphere of hatred against him.

Religion, caste, and beliefs may be different, but our greatest religion is humanity.  I have done nothing wrong, so there is no need to apologize.  He said, no one has the authority to issue a fatwa to me. (Hydnow)
