Light to Moderate Rains In Telangana Likely for Next 3 days
Hyderabad: Due to strong cold winds from the central states of the country, several parts of Telangana, including Hyderabad, might face a cold-wave like situation for the next six days. The situation might peak between Wednesday and Saturday.
On Wednesday and Thursday, the night temperature in some parts of the city, including Serilingampally, Rajendranagar, Falaknuma, Kapra, Moosapet and Uppal, is likely to dip below 12 degree Celsius, according to the officials at Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS). The average minimum temperature in the city is likely to range from 11 degree Celsius to 15 degree Celsius.
The India Meteorological Department-Hyderabad has issued a five-day yellow warning for the city. Today, in the early hours, an average minimum temperature of 18.5 degree Celsius was recorded.
Meanwhile, the night temperature in the northern districts of Telangana has dipped below normal range. Vikarabad recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 12.4 degree Celsius, in the early hours of Sunday. As per the forecast by TSDPS, the minimum temperature in districts such as Nirmal, Kamareddy and Nizamabad, might dip as low as 10 degree Celsius on Wednesday and Thursday.
The Union Home Minister has alerted the states of the country in the wake of the Indo-Pak War. The Telangana government and police, which were immediately alerted, took preemptive measures. Security has been tightened in Hyderabad.
