Hyderabad, April 11: Ganja peddler arrested after attacking cop in Jagtial during a vehicle check on Vemulawada road. Police chased the accused and caught him later in Korutla town.
Acting on a tip, police started vehicle checks and found Md Yaseen moving suspiciously on a motorcycle. They recovered nearly 50 grams of ganja from him. He said he was transporting it from Nizamabad to Korutla.
While police questioned him, the accused attacked constable Pravan and fled. However, the police team chased him and caught him after a brief pursuit. He is a resident of Korutla.
Police seized the ganja and the motorcycle. Subsequently, they registered cases under the NDPS Act and for attacking a policeman. Further investigation is underway.
