J&K/Hyderabad, Aug 17 (Hydnow) DAP President Ghulam Nabi Azad made a fearless comment that Hinduism has ancient roots. It is much older than Islam and conversions from Hinduism to Islam occurred with the Indian subcontinent. This has been reported on the website of Organiser Voice of the Nation.

Courtesy to Organiser Weekly, Ghulam Nabi Azad’s remark at a gathering in the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir in which he said that “all individuals were initially associated with Hinduism in this nation.”

A video on social media has gone viral in which Ghulam Nabi Azad said that the Muslims in India owe their origin to Hinduism. He added that Islam is merely 1500 years old. Azad added that all Muslims were previously Hindus and it is later that they converted.


He further added that all the Muslims in the valley were previously Kashmiri Pandits and later on, they converted to Islam.

Azad further said that Hinduism was one of the oldest religions and the Mughal Army Brought a mere 10-20 Muslims to India while the majority were converted.

Azad parted ways from Congress, openly critical of Congress leadership, he said it was last year on September 26, that Ghulam Nabi Azad floated his own political outfit, the Democratic Azad Party came at a time when several other prominent leaders left the Congress party. During his farewell from the Rajya Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had given an emotional speech in which he lauded Azad.


Azad had openly lashed at the Congress party when Rahul Gandhi assumed the role of the Congress vice president. He stated that the consultative framework was undermined during Rahul Gandhi’s rule as Congress vice President and the experienced leaders were sidelined. (Hydnow)
